There's an example in the chapter on Syntax that I can't get my head round: ti kelatoyan keri ru ua arise parayan
‘they asked her when (she) had gone to visit her father,’
ti kelatoyan keri si ru ua arise parayan
‘they asked her when they had been to visit her father,’
ti kelatoyan keri ru ua arise parasi
‘they asked her when (she) would go to visit their father.’ Okay, I get the ti kelatoyan keri and the parayan / parasi parts, it's the bits in the middle I have a problem with when it comes to squaring with the English translation.

ti kelatoyan keri ru ua arise parayan
‘they asked her when (she) had gone to visit her father,’
(In this example, the past tense is "inherited" or inferred from the main verb -- kelato)
ti kelatoyan keri si ru ua arise parayan
‘they asked her when they had been to visit her father,’ (same here)
ti kelatoyan keri ru ua arise parasi
1. ‘they asked her when (she) would go to visit their father.'
(I suppose this could also mean:
2. ‘they asked her when (she) had gone to visit their father.'
I think, to clarify you mean action is in the future, you could say:
ti kelatoyan keri va ru ua arise parasi
I think the meaning would be clear from context.
